			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks a Sr. Java Developer for our Corporate Technology Services Group Department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.</p>
<p>Position Summary<br />
Time Warner Cable seeks a Sr. Java Developer to help develop and enhance its Service Oriented Architecture.</p>
<p>Essential Job Functions:<br />
1. Review business requirements and devise design solutions and documentation from those requirements.<br />
2. Create technical design documents and technical specifications which may involve UML modeling.<br />
3. Implement the design solutions using Java, J2EE (EJB, Servlets, JSP, JMS), Web Services, XML, XSL, XSLT, XSD, Oracle (SQL and PL/SQL), and IBM WebSphere.<br />
4. Perform Unit testing.<br />
5. Work with QA team to resolve issues during QA phase<br />
6. Designed solutions must be implemented on time.<br />
7. Support existing applications in Production.<br />
8. Resolve day to day production issues. Involves identifying root cause of defects and fixing them in a timely manner.<br />
9. Write/Modify ANT build scripts.<br />
10. Write UNIX shell scripts as required.<br />
11. Travel &#8211; as needed</p>
<p>Job Requirements:<br />
Candidate must be able to analyze problems and solve them creatively, be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. Must demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills. Must develop a strong knowledge of products, features and services and how our customers use them. Needs the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize and complete specified tasks on time. Needs the ability to effectively interact and contribute to the management of relationships with off-site vendors, including offshore development teams. Needs the ability to communicate status both orally and in written form effectively.</p>
<p>The Sr. Java Developer will work with web and application developers and architects to define system architecture, including researching new technologies and proof of concept projects. Attend project meetings and provide input to validate system design and development.</p>
<p>As a member of the project team, the Sr. Java Developer will analyze software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Consult with hardware engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware, software and networks; and operational and performance requirements of overall system.</p>
<p>Candidate must be able to successfully translate an interface specification into a program.</p>
<p>Preferred Qualifications:<br />
Successful candidate must possess five to seven years experience designing and developing applications using JSP, J2EE, and Oracle.</p>
<p>In addition, candidate must posses each of the following:<br />
• Extensive experience in writing code with Java, J2EE (EJB – Stateless, Entity and MDB, Servlets, JSP, JMS), XML, XSL, XSLT and WebServices.<br />
• Experience in writing complex SQL queries and PL/SQL Stored Procedures.<br />
• Experience in designing and developing WSDLs and XML schemas.<br />
• Experience in UML modeling. Ability to model class and sequence diagrams.<br />
• Experience with Struts framework<br />
• Experience in writing UNIX shell scripts.<br />
• Experience with object oriented design patterns and J2EE design patterns.<br />
• Experience with Spring Framework and Spring Web Services<br />
• Experience with WebSphere 6.1 and RAD<br />
• Experience working with e-commerce, online payment processing, and billing system interfaces is a plus.<br />
• Experience with BPEL, and Oracle Fusion Middleware Suite a major plus.</p>
<p>Education and Experience:<br />
Bachelor&#8217;s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience. </p>

Participate in technical requirements gathering sessions.<br />
Develop and review designs of basic applications based on high-level specifications.<br />
Maintain and modify application.<br />
Perform unit testing of the code that he/she has written.<br />
Perform on-site client work alone or as part of a team.</p>

Has proven ability to maintain good interpersonal skills when dealing with other team members and when working with the client.<br />
