<p>This month we are running late on getting the notice out!  However, this months meeting will be a social event, basically a chance to meet up and talk among the group at our favorite watering hole (Dilworth Neighborhood Grill).</p>
<p>Come down and meet up with the usual suspects from the JUG,  share a few war stories,  find out who is doing what and where and also come and tell us more about yourself.</p>

<p>Description<br />
As a Developer working on implementations, the qualified resource will participate in requirements gathering, design, coding, unit testing, documentation, and integration with existing systems. The environment is matrix or corporate. SDLC will be utilized and project management methedologies.  Experience or an understanding of Oracle RTD (Real-time Decisioning) is desirable.</p>
<p>Responsibilities</p>
<p>Follow standard SDLC practices and procedures and company standards to write code that follows high level specifications developed by Solution Architect.<br />
Participate in technical requirements gathering sessions.<br />
Develop and review designs of basic applications based on high-level specifications.<br />
Maintain and modify application.<br />
Perform unit testing of the code that he/she has written.<br />
Perform on-site client work alone or as part of a team.</p>
<p>Possesses solid technical sk<br />
Has proven ability to maintain good interpersonal skills when dealing with other team members and when working with the client.<br />
Has demonstrated the ability to identify, address, and independently resolve technical and application issues and maintain and modify existing applications.<br />
Has working experience in a corporate project setting.<br />
Has demonstrated mastery in Java, Java-based API, .NET, or web services development environment.<br />
5+ years in Enterprise Application Architecture and Development<br />
Java Skills: Servlets, JSP, Struts, Spring, Ibatis, Hibernate, Java Beans, EJB, JDBC, •RMI, Core Java, XML/XSL/XSLT, Web Services, and Java Networking<br />
Database: DB2  or Oracle 9i/10g<br />
Application Server: IBM Websphere, BEA Weblogic, or Apache Tomcat<br />
Middleware/Integration: Web Services, IBM MQ Series/J2EE JMS, IBM Process Server<br />
Has extensive experience of software design and implementation methodologies<br />
Travel<br />
This role may require up to 80% travel depending upon the client needs and assignments.</p>

<p>Major Accountabilities<br />
Java/SQL Application Development, Enhancement, and Administration &#8212; Designs, develops, maintains and documents Java and SQL based programs (other languages may apply to a lesser extent):<br />
•  Participates in requirements analysis and definition. Designs, writes, and develops Java applications, including system utilities for testing, monitoring, and administration of applications. Development efforts will focus mainly on Internet-based data-driven products. Other development tasks may also be required.<br />
•  Prepares code documentation in support of program development. Creates and maintains system specification and sub-system specification documentation. Follows (and continues to develop) established software development guidelines and procedures.<br />
•  Prepares documentation and paperwork used in the planning and preparation stages of the application and the instructions for its use.<br />
•  Works with third-party outside consultants and experts to accomplish specific projects and tasks.<br />
•  Stays abreast of state-of-the-art programming techniques, implements them, and advocates their implementation.<br />
•  Other requirements, design, implementation, testing, evaluation, and documentation tasks as required. Trouble Shooting, Debugging, and Maintenance &#8212; Analyzes existing software for adequacy to meet the intended task:<br />
•  Conducts appropriate development testing of applications to ensure quality<br />
•  Debugs, tests, and installs complex applications programs. Diagnoses and resolves complex application software problems. Develops test procedures and test platforms.</p>
<p>Required Skills<br />
•  A Bachelor&#8217;s degree (BA, BS) in Computer Science or related discipline<br />
•  5-7 years experience<br />
•  Minimum of 5 years general technical experience; 5-7 years Java and SQL application development experience preferred. Demonstrated experience in entire application development process.<br />
•  Specifically, 3-5 years Oracle experience (PL/SQL and Views) and Java EE experience (Servlets, XML, and JDBC) tightly coupled to data-driven systems.</p>
<p>Demonstrated advanced experience in the following areas:<br />
•  Java EE Technology<br />
•  JSP, JavaScript, XML, DHTML, and CSS<br />
•  Oracle (SQL, PL/SQL)<br />
•  MVC framework experience (WebWork,Struts)<br />
•  Hibernate<br />
•  Development tools (Eclipse, query tools, ANT, JUnit or TestNG, Subversion)<br />
•  Object Oriented and Design Pattern Techniques</p>
