Presentation Outline

All you hear people talking about today is iPhone…iPhone…iPhone. In this session, we’ll create an iPhone application that uses RESTful Java web services for both read and write. Then, we’ll deploy to the iPhone simulator to demonstrate the debugging tools. Finally, we will deploy to an iPhone and show the application in real time on the device.

By the end of the session, you will understand the basics of the iPhone development process and as a Java developer how to best make decisions about building out your backend systems to support iPhone native client apps and numerous other mobile smartphone devices.
