We are seeking a Java Developer with strong skills in Java and the JBoss development tools stack particularly JSF, Seam and Hibernate.

Java Developer
The Java Developer will be a key member of a small development team and will work on all aspects of the project life-cycle. Our company is a unique niche player that is re-platforming an award-winning application in preparation for tremendous new growth opportunities. The development team is managed through an Agile process that encourages full team participation and a fun, dynamic work environment.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, 3-5 years experience with Java-based technologies as well as strong communication and design skills. Demonstrated experience in the entire application development lifecycle. The successful candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, experience and abilities:

* Proven experience with JSF and the Seam framework as well as JavaScript/HTML
* Must enjoy working on sophisticated web interfaces
* Prior experience in Agile development environment (Scrum) is a plus
* Ability to develop, enhance, maintain and document web-based, data-driven business applications
* Demonstrated ability to solve problems and debug/troubleshoot to provide effective solutions
* Proficiency and understanding of Open Source software concepts and practices
* Proficiency with Design Patterns and Object Oriented Concepts
* Experience with at least one application server (preferably JBoss)
* Comfortable using Eclipse IDE and other development tools such as Ant and JUnit
* Practical experience with Java Data Access technologies (Hibernate/JPA)
* Experience in JasperReports, JBoss Rules (drools) or Linux a plus

Other
This position is a staff addition and is not available for extended contract terms or H1B Visa holders. We will consider contract-to-hire if it is in the best interest of all parties, but the goal will be for the candidate to become an employee after a limited contract term.
